Caduces
A rail-based robotic arm that brings automation, accuracy, and clarity to pharmacy dispensing workflows.
Caduceus is a rail-based robotic arm system designed to automate medication dispensing in pharmacy environments. The project integrates industrial robotics, computer vision, and human-centered design to improve accuracy, efficiency, and safety in high-volume workflows. Our work focused on the physical architecture, articulation logic, and system presence—creating a form that is precise, approachable, and purpose-built for real clinical spaces.

Muscle Lines in Motion
The visual language of Caduceus is driven by graphic lines that trace along the surface of the arm, mimicking the flow of human muscle fibers beneath the skin. By embedding muscle-like graphics into the form, the robotic arm takes on a more organic, creature-like presence, softening its mechanical nature and expressing motion even at rest.
