A spine is usually hidden.
Here, it becomes something
you hold.

Lost-wax glassmaking meets MR.NOPLAN’s contemporary sculptural design and NYCHOS’s graffiti-rooted anatomical world.

The original vessel is MR.NOPLAN’s design. This collaboration brings the form into translucent green, with additional coloring and firing and a sandblasted collaboration mark on the base.

NYCHOS

Anatomy beyond
the surface.

NYCHOS seated in his studio beside an anatomical painting
NYCHOS / IN THE STUDIO

Born in Austria and rooted in graffiti, NYCHOS works across murals, painting, illustration and sculpture. His dissected and translucent figures reveal the bones and structures beneath familiar surfaces.

This collaboration brings that anatomical world into conversation with MR.NOPLAN’s sculptural vessel: a spine made visible in an object held in the hand.

Cast in glass.
Finished by hand.

THE ORIGINAL DESIGN / MR.NOPLAN

Wax modelling, mould-making, kiln casting and hand finishing give the vessel its sculptural form. The vertebral contours are part of the glass itself, not decoration applied to its surface.

The nine steps below show the standard-version process. This collaboration adds further coloring, firing and a sandblasted base mark.

STANDARD VERSION / 9 STEPS

Hands releasing a spine-shaped wax model from a flexible mould
01 / WAX MODEL

The vertebral form is first cast in wax.

Gloved hands refining a vertebral detail on the wax model with a small tool
02 / WAX REFINEMENT

Seams and small imperfections are refined by hand.

Heat-resistant plaster being prepared in a workshop
03 / MOULD & DEWAX

Heat-resistant plaster surrounds the wax, which is then removed.

WORKSHOP REFERENCE
A maker arranging moulds in a workshop kiln
04 / KILN CASTING

Glass fills the mould in the kiln, then cools on a controlled schedule.

WORKSHOP REFERENCE
A maker breaking away the refractory casting mould
05 / MOULD REMOVAL

The mould is broken away to reveal the cast glass.

Water washing residual mould material from the glass castings
06 / CLEANING

Remaining mould material is washed away.

A maker working the cast glass against a rotating grinding wheel
07 / WHEEL GRINDING

Excess glass is removed and rough edges are smoothed.

Hands holding the glass base against a flat rotating finishing disc
08 / BASE FINISHING

The base is worked against a flat disc to refine its surface.

A handheld rotary tool refining the glass around a vertebral detail
09 / DETAIL REFINEMENT

Small tools refine the contours around each vertebral form.

ADDITIONAL WORK / THIS COLLABORATION

Beyond the standard process.

COLORING

Additional coloring gives this edition its translucent green finish.

ADDITIONAL FIRING

The edition involves further firing alongside the standard glassmaking process.

A few things
to know.

Is this a preorder?

Yes. Preorders open November 5, 2026 at 10 AM Los Angeles time (PST). Joining the waitlist does not reserve a glass or guarantee availability.

When will my preorder ship?

Shipping begins November 25, 2026. This is when dispatch starts, not the date your order arrives. We’ll email tracking details when your parcel ships. Delivery timing varies by destination and carrier service. The 30-day manufacturing cycle is not a delivery countdown from checkout.

What comes with each option?

A single contains one numbered glass and one COA personally signed by NYCHOS. A two-glass set contains two separately numbered glasses and two signed COAs. Each set counts as two glasses toward the same 222-glass sale edition.

Can I choose an edition number?

No number-selection or consecutive-number option is offered on this page. Each glass and its COA must match.
