TIANDI is a sculptural art piece by acclaimed Chinese artist Huang Yulong, created as a deeply personal response to the birth of his daughter. Watching her grow — tiny hands reaching high but unable to touch the top of her head — Huang was struck by the proportions, innocence, and pure determination of childhood. This moment sparked the creation of TIANDI: a child-like figure in a hoodie, standing tall and pointing upward, grounded in its own presence and possibility.

The piece takes inspiration from the Zen phrase — “Above and below heaven, I alone am worthy.” Dressed in minimalist matte white, this figure channels street style through a spiritual lens. At once soft and powerful, TIANDI reminds us that the path to self-realization starts with staying true to who we are.
